Insight

Ecocapsule has unveiled plans for an upgraded model, the Ecocapsule NextGen. While retaining its iconic egg-shape, the NextGen will offer more room, expanding its length from 4.67m to 5.2m.

Although the design remains compact compared to other tiny houses, its space efficiency is evident. A significant change is the replacement of the original gull-wing door with a conventional double glass door, simplifying manufacturing and enhancing its openness.

Transport remains easy, requiring a truck, trailer, or container. The interior will feature a revamped layout, providing more storage, an additional window, a convertible sofa-cum-bed, a discreet kitchen, and a bathroom.

Ecocapsule has made modifications to streamline the manufacturing process, anticipating a production increase from two to eight units monthly. The dwelling will boast an expanded solar panel array, complemented by a wind turbine and battery system. Architect and Ecocapsule co-founder,

Tomáš Žáček, highlighted the introduction of a panoramic window, a design evolution aimed at forging a deeper connection with nature. Production is set to commence in mid-2024, with pricing and availability details yet to be released.
