UK-headquartered formwork, falsework, and ground shoring solutions supplier RMD Kwikform, has launched Tetrashor – a lightweight modular propping system that can deliver a loading capacity of up to 400kN – across its global network.

The system has been designed for building refurbishment and civil engineering markets, finding applications in dead shoring, façade retention, propping and needling, supporting precast concrete bridge beams and structural steelwork frames, as well as restraining tall single and double-sided formwork.

The system’s 400kN loading capacity calls for minimal requirement of props, facilitating cost, and assemblage time reduction for contractors. When used as a group of four, the prop can facilitate heavy, concentrated loads by creating a ‘tower’, providing a loading capacity of up to 1600kN.
