Insight

The Purple Heart Manor, designed by Acorn Tiny Homes in Canada, stretches the boundaries of traditional tiny houses. Drawing inspiration from the owner’s love for Medieval literature and the colour purple, this expansive towable dwelling exudes charm and delivers a bounty of modern comforts, all within its impressive 43ft (13m) length.

Standing at over twice the length of the typical tiny house, the Manor boasts a width of 10.6ft (3.2m), providing an apartment-like spacious interior. Towing it requires a permit and a powerful truck, highlighting its significant size. The exterior charms with faux stone and wood siding, while a distinctive roofline and a custom “catio” – a patio for cats – adds a unique touch.

The interior’s grand living room features a custom-made purple sofa bed, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a gaming station, a drop-down dining table, a dedicated activities area, and a cat rope bridge and sitting area. Acorn Tiny Homes has masterfully tailored the space to match the owner’s tastes and interests.

The adjacent kitchen is equipped with appliances like a fridge, a dishwasher drawer, and a propane-powered stove and oven. A pull-out pantry and custom cabinetry provide ample storage space. The bathroom features a small tub with a rainfall shower and a high-end Japanese toilet with advanced features. A washer/dryer, custom moss wall, and storage space make it a complete package.

The master bedroom, accessible via a storage-integrated staircase, comes with a queen-sized storage bed and medieval-style castle wall decor, whilst a secondary loft bedroom houses a double bed and additional storage, along with a cat flap leading to the catio.

Solar-powered, the Manor is well-equipped with underfloor heating and two air-conditioning units for optimal comfort. However, such indulgence comes at a substantial price tag of CAD370,000 (around US$280,000), asserting the manor’s unparalleled craftsmanship and luxurious appeal.
