Embrace a minimalist lifestyle with the Buxton tiny house, perfect for guest accommodation or full-time living. This towable, travel-ready home offers a space-efficient design with luxurious touches.

The recently introduced Buxton tiny house, crafted by Modern Tiny Living, boasts a space-efficient interior design suitable for a guesthouse or a full-time residence, particularly for those who plan to travel frequently. Capable of accommodating up to four people, albeit snugly, the Buxton is priced at approximately US$79,000.

Inspired by a lighthouse in Buxton, North Carolina, the Buxton spans a mere 20 feet (6 meters) in length. This compact size, compared to larger North American tiny houses such as the Canada Goose, makes it easier to tow on a regular basis. Built on a double-axle trailer, the Buxton is constructed with engineered wood and features a steel roof. Power is supplied through a standard RV-style connection.

The interior of the Buxton is bathed in natural light due to its ample glazing, and is outfitted with poplar tongue-and-groove panelling and vinyl flooring. Upon entry, guests find themselves in the living room, which houses a sofa bed that sleeps two, incorporates storage, and is complemented by shelving and a bookcase. A mini split air conditioning unit ensures a comfortable atmosphere.

The living room seamlessly flows into the kitchen, which is equipped with stainless steel countertops, a sink, cabinets, a mini-fridge, and substantial closet space. Additional room is available for installing further appliances. Adjacent to the kitchen is the compact bathroom, complete with a flushing toilet and a shower.

Accessed via a storage-integrated staircase, the Buxton’s sole bedroom is a typical loft-style sleeping area featuring a double bed and a low ceiling. The tiny house is modelled after Modern Tiny Living’s Mohican range, which is designed as a minimalist dwelling. The $79,000 price point can be adjusted depending on the selected options, such as appliances, materials, or even a comprehensive off-grid setup for those seeking a more adventurous lifestyle.
