AUSTIN, TEX. — A new U.S.-based business, JobSiteCheck, has developed mobile technology that uses contactless, QR-based technology to allow workers to sign in to a jobsite using their personal mobile device.
By reducing the physical interaction between workers and staff, the application promotes onsite safety and aims to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, stated a June 2 release. The software doesn’t require an app download. Instead, employees use their phone’s camera to capture a QR code posted at the entry points of each jobsite. A browser-based form is then used to complete a questionnaire related to risk and possible exposure.
Using an admin dashboard, project leadership can manage safety at the jobsites by seeing how many workers have passed or failed at entry. The admin dashboard allows for an overview of multiple jobsites and multiple trades.JobSiteCheck exists to help site managers implement best practices to keep their teams healthy and safe. It’s an efficient application built around the COVID-19 challenges. We’re laser focused on helping companies solve this problem immediately,” commented Tala Matchett, JobSiteCheck senior adviser in a statement.
