As I write this, it’s early January, which means it’s time to begin tackling our New Year’s resolutions. Here’s a resolution you may not have had on your list but would be worth adding: committing to more effective meetings.

Poorly run meetings are assuredly as old as meetings themselves. But what is new is that we can now draw on a body of research to make our meetings more effective and more productive.In my book, The Surprising Science of Meetings:
