Construction at Sharjah’s First 3D Printed House in Full Swing

Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has announced that work is progressing well on the first heritage house being constructed using 3D printing techniques, in collaboration with Dutch company CyBe Construction (CyBe).

According to a statement from CyBe, the project is a result of triple helix collaboration of government, private, and academia, where CyBe was selected as the technology provider to build the 3D house in SRTI Park while the American University of Sharjah has collaborated for research and talent.

HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, lauded the SRTI Park for its innovative project. During his visit to SRTI Park headquarters, Dr Sultan was briefed on the progress of the project, as well as the latest developments and techniques used in the implementation of the project.
